Feature Winners from the Opening Night of the 2019 Season at the Murray County Speedway

We are sorry to inform everyone, the races for tonight are canceled. We had close to an inch of rain this morning, the sun still has not come out here yet. The pit area is super wet, the likely chance of getting stuck, is very possible. The track looks in good shape, but with no drying conditions, we just can not put cars out there. Will try again next week.

Opening night of the 2019 season at the Murray County Speedway will be this Friday night, with our special sponsor, Pizza Ranch of Slayton. It's been a long spring. As the Speedway finalizes it's plan for the start of the 27th season, many specials events are bring some special attention to the Speedway. Opening night of the season, is on Friday May 17th, with the Pizza Ranch of Slayton as our sponsor. Great News for Everyone!!!! The Murray County Speedway will be holding Test-N-Tune practice on Friday May 10th from 7-9:30pm. Cost per car is $40. Pit crew is free admission. Entry into the grandstand to watch is also free. Thank you to Aaron, Bruce and Trey for their hard work, in getting the track in shape. Look at what, is finally going around the track! Oh, how we wish it was race cars. After the rain from last night, the track is finally drying out. Now, if would stay like this.

After much consideration, the Speedway has decided to push back the season opener to Friday May 17th. There has not been enough days for the track to dry out between each rainfall, to do any track prep. Plus, with the new dirt that was added, we are concerned on what the track maybe like that first night. We just don't want to see anyone's car, get destroyed this early in the season.
