Wow, is it great to finally see the sun. The race track on Wednesday night, was already starting to dry on the high side of the track. Special note to the IMCA modifieds, stock cars, sport mods and hobby classes. The MyLaps transponder system is up and working for Friday night. Make sure your transponders are charged before coming to the track. If you have not provided your transponder number, make sure to give your transponder number to the back gate crew at sign in.

Hopefully, the rain from the past few days, will finally push out of the area, for this Friday night's action at the Murray County Speedway. Sponsor for this Friday night is Sturdevant's Auto Parts of Slayton. A tremendous night of racing from two weeks ago, should have the drivers geared for the start of a great Memorial Day weekend. Even better yet, the first night of racing for the Late Model Street Stocks, will be this Friday night.

After a long wait, the opening night to the season had finally arrived, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect night to have it on. 73 cars made the journey to the track for opening night. The opening night of the 2017 season for the Murray County Speedway is here. Special "Thank you" to Pro Cellular - AT&T for sponsoring the first night of races. A special door prize that Pro Cellular will be giving away from the "Lucky Programs" is a "Samsung Tab 4" tablet. So, as you enter the front gate, make sure to buy a program, to have a chance to win. Back Gate will open at 5PM, Grandstand will open at 6pm, hotlaps at 7:15pm, racing at 7:30pm.
