Racing action returned to the Murray County Speedway this past Friday night. All of the usual IMCA classes as well as the pickups were on hand and the races were sponsored by Miller Sellner of Slayton S&S Electric MCRA Pickups 8 trucks made the call for the 8 lap feature with Cole Hoogland leading the field to the green. The Murray County Speedway is pleased to release the 2018 payout for the new season. Promoter/President Aaron Betz commented "We are an association that works hard for the fans and drivers, so why not pay the drivers better throughout the WHOLE field while keeping the pit and grandstand fees the same." With the weather we have had, the snow and cooler temps that are forecasted and the amount of snow we still have at the fairgrounds, we are sad to announce that we have to cancel the May 5th enduro and test n tune. We will keep you posted as we might reschedule the enduro for late June or early July.

The workers and membership meeting for Sunday April 15th is canceled. We are going to try one more time to have it. We are going to have the meeting next Friday April 20th, the worker meeting will be at 7 and the general meeting will be at 8. They will be held at the Masonic Lodge on the south end of main street in Slayton. It will be a good time to get your memberships, pit spots and registrations filled out before the first night.
