Races this Friday night is sponsored by Rough Country Excavating of Russell, MN. Classes racing this night will be all the IMCA Classes plus the H.O.T.R.O.D. Touring Serives plus the MCRA Bombers. Races are on for tonight, had about an inch of rain, just perfect. MVTV Wireless of Granite Falls, is our race sponsor tonight. Online ticket sales will be cut-off at noon, remaining tickets will then be sold at front gate beginning at 6pm. The track is still limited to 250 in the grandstand. Just a quick note on the online tickets sales for June 12th. There are still tickets available for the grandstand at $12. Everyone entering the grandstand, must have an online ticket purchase, unless there are some unsold tickets after 12pm Friday. Those remaining tickets will be sold, at 6pm at the ticket window, until we reach the limit of the number of people in the grandstand. When we reach that limit, sales will end. The Speedway will be holding Test-N-Tune from 5-10pm on Saturday June 6th. This will be for all IMCA Classes and the MCRA Bomber class. Entry fee for car and driver is $50. There is no entry fee for pit crew. Entry gate will open at 4pm. Track personal will direct you where to park, to stay in compliance with social distancing. Let everyone know, that the first night of racing for the 2020 is Friday June 12th.

The Murray County Speedway will begin their 2020 season on Friday June 12. The Speedway has worked with the Murray County Commissioners and Administrator and the MN State Heath Inspector, to have races this night. However, there will be no fans in the grandstand, but will allow vehicles to park in the infield of the track. We count on fans, concession and beer sales to pay expenses and payouts. We also feel it is not fair and right to our sponsors and advertisers, and sponsors on cars, if we do not have fans in the stands. We would like to thank the Murray County Commissioners and Justin Hoffman, the City of Slayton and it's residents for allowing us to have two days of test n tune this past weekend. We had 40 cars take laps. It was a little bit of normalcy in these times that we are in. We would like to thank all the drivers that sent us pictures of their cars for our virtual car show. Hopefully, the speedway will get back to having some races, when - who knows. We will be definitely have social distancing of some form. Which means the first night could be very hectic at the back gate. Because of this and the safety of the back gate workers, the speedway will be requiring all paperwork be done either by electronic or by calling in to have the registration completed.
